I first heard about Losst Unnown when my son, Ned, came home one day and told me about a street dance performance he had seen during the Cultural Arts Festival at his school. He enthusiastically described the performance, speaking of the passion and energy Losst Unnown had brought to the stage. He was adamant about taking dance lessons with Fadayz and continued to pursue it with me until I arranged a time for them to meet.

During the months Ned took weekly dance lessons with Fadayz, their friendship grew. They began to play chess together and during the games, the three of us would have intriguing conversations about street dance, culture and our different backgrounds. Over time, I got to know the other members of Losst Unnown as I brought Ned to 300 Training on Friday nights, watched the battles that took place afterwards and had a great time seeing Losst dance at other venues. Their dedication to freestyle street dance, infused with flashes of humor and undercurrents of intense emotion, was like no other kind of dance I had seen before. Impressed with the originality, limitless energy and enthusiasm they bring to the dance floor, I was interested in becoming more involved with Losst Unnown. The desire they have to bring people together also echoes my own. Losst also has a unique ability to share what they have while letting people find their own way in dance and other aspects of life which I find particularly appealing.

In addition to raising my family, my background includes social work, mostly involving troubled adolescents. I have also taught wildlife and environmental classes and have worked with rescue dogs.
